This pamphlet has been compiled as suggestive words for Christians to use in anointing and blessing.
Authority
The authority given you for the purpose of anointing and blessing is found in the book of John 1:11-13 King James Version. You are a child of God.
Consecrating The Oil (To render Holy)
Oil or balm should be consecrated (blessed) before it is used for anointing. A good quality pure olive oil (scented, if desired as was done in the early Church) should be secured. Those Christian brothers and sisters laboring for the cause of Jesus Christ, standing in his stead, performing His work on earth, should consecrate it and set it apart for its holy purposes.
1. Hold the open container of oil.
2. Address Heavenly Father as in prayer.
3. State authority (The Lord Jesus Christ)
4. Consecrate the oil (not the container), setting it apart for the anointing of anyone or anything at anytime for any Christian purpose.
5. Close in the name of Jesus Christ.
6. Once the oil is consecrated, it is permanent and not necessary to do again.
Example:
"Heavenly Father, by authority of The Lord Jesus Christ, I consecrate, dedicate and set apart this special oil for anointing anyone or anything at anytime for any Christian purpose, and I do this in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ. Amen"
Anointing (Words to be modified to individual situation)
1. Using a very small amount of oil or balm, "draw" a cross on the forehead or object to be anointed.
2. While applying the oil or balm, call the person by name Brother/Sister Smith, etc.
3. State the authority (The Lord Jesus Christ).
4. State that you are anointing with consecrated/blessed oil.
5. Close in the name of Jesus Christ.
Example:
(While applying the oil or balm) "Brother John Smith, in the name of The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit, I anoint you with the oil that has been consecrated and set apart for anointing anyone or anything at any time for any Christian purpose and I do this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen."
Sealing The Anointing/Blessing
Immediately following the anointing, the Christian brother or sister (and any other Christians present) may lay hands on head of the person. One of them acts as voice.
1. With eyes closed in prayer, call the person by name.
2. State authority (The Lord Jesus Christ) by which the anointing was preformed.
3. Seal and confirm the anointing.
4. Pronounce a blessing as the Holy Spirit dictates.
5. Close in the name of Jesus Christ.
Note to the administering brother/sister: Let the prayer be suited to the situation. It stands to reason prior to visitation the circumstances be pondered. You may even fast for greater spirituality a clear channel between you and The Lord, as YOU are the instrument by which He is working through. The leading of a spiritual, exemplary life is extremely helpful to you in standing in The Lord's stead.
Blessing
Commencing with "Brother/Sister Smith," by authority of The Lord Jesus Christ, I/we lay my/our hands upon your head, seal and confirm the anointing and hereby pronounce a blessing upon you/your life, etc. that .(the blessing will now be dictated through/by The Holy Spirit). You pray this prayer vocally in behalf of the afflicted by inspiration and prodding from The Holy Spirit. It may be long or short, depending on what The Spirit has to say. Prayer must proceed from and be accompanied with a lively faith by the person praying and in the person that by his/her faith in The Lord, When the prayer is complete, close in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ.

Now here is my two cents about all this:
Every church I have ever seen does 90% of this above and not one of them have ever shown any ordination card or certificates I have spoken to several ministers, pastors, reverends, etc and they have been very gun shy about showing any documentation that shows them to be real men of the cloth or clergymen. And each time I go to any area churches I find myself shaking hands with hollow or faithless people particularly when asked if they have ever preformed any exorcisms or removed a demon from anyone or preformed any righteous acts they start to back away quickly when I whip out my own ordination card and show it proudly than repeat again if they have proof of ordination.
This is usually met with a we appreciate you coming and we hope to have you back sometime with that they are hurrying you away from them before you sniff any closer or they burst into flames in there own church so to speak.
You can always tell the fake ones by there not quite firm handshake or there failure to look you in the eyes when you ask them something important by your standards of religion. Seldom are they up for any real religious debate. The other aspects of those who bare false witness is when they look at you by the cut of your clothes such as he or she is wearing a suit and you are wearing plain clothes or you are wearing a suit but theres is more extravagant.
To quote two ferengi rules of acquisition #47 Never trust a man wearing a better suit than your own #48 The bigger the smile the sharper the knife
That being said if your information on religions is up to par than many of those false clergymen will give you the evil eye when your back is turned or be muttering under there breath something to the tune of smart ass bastard how dare he make a fool of me in my own church.
In the Church the tithe (money in the collection plate) is supposed to go up as an offering to God but in the Bible God doesn't ask for money. So it supposed to first go to paying the power bill to keep the lights turned on and the water running and than to pay the pastor or whatever his salary which is supposed to be paid by the deacons of the church IE the ones with voting power who can elect to get rid of the pastor if they choose.
Any additional monies left over is supposed to be saved for the greater good such as helping the community, which often never happens. Church is a charity operation and with that being said another acquisition rule comes to mind #144 There's nothing wrong with charity . as long as it winds up in your pocket. Which in the case of the Church it often does in the pockets of the false preachers.
On the Subject of Balms the definition of Balm is-Any of several aromatic plants, esp. one used as a seasoning or for tea. An aromatic salve or oil. Something that soothes, heals, or comforts.
Which if this is correct anyone can find a Balm to use in there local drugstore or economy value store. Such as Vicks Vapor Rub which is applied to the skin and sooths and heals through the use of Camphor, Eucalyptus Oil, and Menthol.
If one where to throw in a dash of extra virgin olive oil or soybean oil which can also be found in both grocery and economy value stores than anyone with half a brain can do this in there living room or even there bedroom everyday, anytime, anywhere.
For good measure here is a little magic in the form of prayer KJV Psalm 23: 1-6 AKA The Lords Prayer.
1. The Lord is my Shepard: I shall not want.
2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Now there are variations to this and they differ from bible to bible but the meaning is usually the same. The Church is the oldest living magical order on the planet and every other pagan religion has taken some form of it into there workings such as witchcraft.
One of the last sacred promises imparted to Peter the first pope by the Son of God before he left was "Whatever you hold true on earth" "I'll hold true in heaven". Or That which you seal on earth, I will seal in heaven. Or if you follow the pagan path As below so above So mote it be. This is dogmatic law if the church say its so god must adhere. Its practically papal sanctioned.
